The Nearlite wireless illumination system is the simplest way to add illumination to a project with out the need of batteries or other items tethering the project down.

The NearLite System: Light Tags on a Power Mat

NearLite is made up of a power-mat and light tags. When a light tag is placed in proximity of the power mat it turns on. The light tags are inexpensive enough that every structure can have multiple tags attached to them permanently.

Christmas Village are wonderful to look at, but the setup is often frustrating.

It was initially conceived for Christmas Villages where each structure needed to be individually wired. Even a moderate village would require power strips, extension cords and creative solutions to hide all the wires. This was usually very time intensive effort for a marginal result. The time investment often did not allow for the reorganizing of the structures if the setup was not ideal.

Hiding the wires is hard enough, finding a place where all the cords can plug in can also be challenging. This can not be safe!!!

In the case with villages, when the season is over, the structures can be stored with their tags installed. There is no worry that the tags will leak or some other way destroy the object as is the case with batteries. The power mat can either be stored as or left in place ready for a new set of light tag equipped structures. In short, the light tags can safely be stored with the objects while the power mat may be semi permanent. Always ready to illuminate the next group of items.

Most battery operated devices recommend removing batteries before storing. Not doing this could ruin treasured objects.
